Mexico Day Trips
In the winter of 1995, t
he powerful weather phenomena known as El Niño caused widespread damage to many regions of Mexico, leaving countless families homeless. Many lost everything. Some were relocated to remote communities throughout Mexico. One such community, just south of the U.S. border between Tecate and Tijuana, became known for the devastating storms that left so many homeless. El Niño was a growing, yet desperate community, with most families struggling to survive in make-shift shelter.Without running water, electricity, paved roads, or hope, the people of El Niño were in dire need. Working with Project Mexico orginization VCC was able to participate in the building of two home in this community.

While in El Nino we began outreach efforts in the small community of Tarraza. During our last outreach many people received Christ and there is now a small community of believers that need love, ministry and equipping. You can participate in this effort by joining us on our Mexico Day Trips. Become part of the ministry team, pray for the sick, distribute food or play with the kids there are so many ways to participate.

Check the church calendar for upcoming day trips. Tentative dates are listed on this page. If you have any additional questions on this outreach contact Steve Skolos or Cathy Greer at the church office at 949-245-3787. Click here for a quick video of the worship service.
